No emissions, no ERP and best of all, no COE. The Mini Folding Bike offers compact mobility from the iconic British marque. Park and ride takes on a whole new meaning with this two-wheeler that can be folded in under a minute to be stored in any boot, not just a Mini Cooper's, then unfolded for use again.
At under 11 kg with folding pedals, it is easily transportable. You don't even need a car to own one - it comes with a carrying bag in a sleeve that is conveniently fitted below the saddle. The bike is made by Dahon, one of the biggest names in folding bicycles, but branded a Mini with nice touches worthy of the automotive brand.
It has a lightweight aluminium frame with 20-inch wheels and eight gears for easy progress. Painted matt black with silver decals for the Mini brand name and Union Jack motif, its only accent is the neon yellow Teflon-coated chain and thumb-lever bell.
Best of all though, the bike is well-made. It is very rigid and offers a confident ride, unlike some folding bikes which can feel wobbly even on a smooth surface. The seat and handlebars have good height adjustability, which means even taller users can get a good riding position.
The grip shifter is comfortably ergonomic, while a chain guard cover and full fenders mean there is no need to worry about soiling your clothes. The Mini Folding Bike is versatile enough for either relaxing or commuting.
