YANGON, Sept 27 (Reuters) - A foreign photographer, believed to be a Japanese, was killed in protests in Yangon on Thursday, a hospital source said.

Earlier, a witness had described a man who fell as shots were fired when police charged a crowd of 1,000 protesters as "an older man, with a small camera who appeared to be Chinese or Japanese".

The man was wearing shorts, the witness said, clothing rarely worn by local people in Myanmar.
