A CYCLIST and a motorcyclist were taken to hospital after getting hurt in two separate traffic accidents on Monday morning.

The first incident took place at about 7.15am as the cyclist was on his way to school.

He was cycling across a pedestrian crossing at Bedok Reservoir Road towards Tampines when he was hit by the car.

As a result, he suffered a broken leg and a dislocated jaw and was sent to the Changi General Hospital.

In the other incident, the motorcyclist was riding along Woodlands Avenue 5 towards Avenue 9 when he was struck by a mini-bus.

The mini-bus was turning into Woodlands Avenue 3 then.

The middle-aged motorcyclist had facial injuries and leg abrasions and was taken to the National University Hospital.

Anyone with information on these two cases should call the Traffic Police hotline on 1800-547-1818.
