FIVE massive rottweilers attacked a Jack Russell terrier, and the result is bad news for the quintet's owner.
IT business owner Setpal Kaur was charged last night for letting her dogs out without a muzzle and leash, The Straits Times reported.
The 51-year-old faces 10 charges pressed by the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA) for the November attack.
The maximum fine she can be slapped with is $50,000.
Letting a single dog out without muzzle carries a penalty of $5,000, while another $5,000 is for the dog not being leashed.
Madam Kaur also faces a lawsuit from businessman David Ow, 59, whose dog was attacked.
He is suing for medical compensation as well as trauma.
Madam Kaur's five rottweilers had ran out of her bunglow on Lengkong Tiga on Nov 26 and attacked Mr Ow's Jack Russell terrier, Mambo.
The five-year-old dog suffered eight puncture wounds and Mr Ow suffered injuries to his hands and knees while trying to protect his dog from the attack.
Madam Kaur, who was present at court yesterday, declined to comment on the case.
She is now left with only three dogs.
AVA had issued an order on Dec 5 allowing her to keep three instead of five dogs in her bungalow.
Two of the dogs have been moved to The Pet Hotel in Pasir Ris.
