The Straits Times

A CHINESE construction worker who slashed a fellow worker with a chopper was sentenced to three months' jail on Wednesday.

Wu Hong Bing, 41, admitted to causing hurt to Mr Zhang Wei Chong, 43, at the kitchen of a rented flat at Teban Gardens Road on Aug 19 last year.

When he returned home that evening, he found the main door locked and started shouting.

Wu, who had been drinking, demanded to know who locked the door before 11pm. When Mr Zhang owned up, they had an argument, during which Wu slashed the victim on the left shoulder.
