Handbag snatched from woman getting into car

A WOMAN had her handbag snatched as she was about to get into her car.

The incident happened at Verdun Road on Sunday.

The victim, in her mid 40s, had just left her workplace and was about to open the door to the passenger side, when the snatch thief grabbed her bag from behind.

Her husband and a few passers-by gave chase but lost the culprit along Sam Leong Road.

The bag contained cash of about $400, a cashcard valued at $40 and personal documents.

Witnesses to the crime can call the Police Hotline at 1800-255-0000.
