Two more arrested over Geylang murder

TWO more Malay men have been arrested in connection with the murder of part-time salesman Seah Boon Lye, 26, who died after he was brutally assaulted at Lorong 10 Geylang on Feb 23.

Police caught the first man, aged 29, in his home at Pasir Ris Drive 6 on Wednesday, and the other, a 17-year-old youth, on Thursday at a void deck at ang Mo Kio Avenue 5.

The two suspects are expected to be charged in court on Friday for murder, said a police statement late on Thursday night.

Seven others, two of them under 16, have been charged for the murder. The two youths, a boy and girl, both 15, were charged in a Juvenile Court.

The boy is being remanded at the Singapore Boys' Home while the girl is at the the Girls' Home.

The other accomplices are Suhardi Ali, 28; Sufian Nordin, 22; Muhammad Haziq Mohamed, 19; and Nur Azimah Razale, 20. They are all remanded at the Police Cantonment Complex.
