The Straits Times

A NECLKLACE was snatched from a woman, 67, as she was strolling with her two-year-old grandson.

She was in the void deck of Block 129 Bukit Batok West Avenue 6 with the toddler at about 5pm on Tuesday when she noticed the suspect approaching.

The next moment, he grabbed at her gold necklace. The woman tried to resist but the culprit pushed her to the ground and took the chain with pendant worth $400.

She suffered abrasions on her left shoulder and elbow due to the fall.

Police are appealing for witnesses. The suspect was described as a man in his 20s with a dark complexion, slim build and 1.65m tall.

He was wearing a purple polo tee-shirt with bue and white stripes and black pants.
