Tue, Apr 15, 2008
The Straits Times

POLICE have arrested a 32 year-old man who is believed to have broken into several flatted factories in January and March, and stolen about $6,000 worth of laptops, projectors and cash.

Following evidence left at a crime scene at Bendemeer Road, the suspect was nabbed at his home at Block 612 Bedok Reservior Road on Monday at about 10.30 pm.

The suspect is also said to be involved in break-ins at Ubi Road and Ayer Rajah industrial estates.

He is expected to be charged in court on Wednesday.

Police advised owners of commercial office premises to install intruder alarms and CCTV systems and ensure that their corridors, staircases and vulnerable points of entry are well lit.
