Man jailed for assaulting relative

>AN OPERATIONS manager was jailed two weeks and fined $1,000 on Wednesday for kicking and breaking his brother-in-law's nose.

Subbas Damodaran, 42, admitted hurting Mr Raju Magalingam, 45, a warehouse co-ordinator, at Block 640 Jurong West Street 61 on March 14 last year.

His lawyer said in mitigation that his client had been provoked by the victim. A psychiatric report stated that he was suffering from chronic grief at the time over his mother's death.
