A BUSINESSMAN was jailed for 10 weeks on Monday for threatening to kill his wife and continuing to harass her despite being ordered to stay away from her.

Allen Tan Boon Siong, 48, admitted to two counts of contravening the October 2006 personal protection order given to his wife, Madam Yeo Lay Har, 30.

On Sept 26 last year, he threatened to kill his wife at IMM Shopping Centre if she aborted their baby.

Three months later on Dec 28, he went to Lorong 23 Geylang to look for his wife.

When he saw her with a male employee in a company car, he accused the employee of having an affair with his wife and hurled vulgarities at her.

The court heard that he tailgated them in his car and drove close to them, almost causing an accident along the Pan-Island Expressway.

Two other charges were taken into consideration.
