FORMER teacher William Ding Chun Fong, 36, on Wednesday won his appeal against conviction for molesting two schoolboys.

He was sentenced to one-year jail after he was found guilty on April 12 last year, after an 80-day hearing, of groping and stroking the buttocks of a 14-year-old boy at the school between June 6 and June 9, 2004.

He was also convicted of twice molesting a 13-year-old - by massaging his groin and his bare chest on separate occasions in 2001.

He was cleared of six other similar charges after the court found they had not been proven beyond reasonable doubt.

The prosecution withdrew 10 outstanding charges against him, pending the appeal.
