Man fined for running illegal massage parlours

A 59-YEAR-OLD man was fined a total of $7,000 on Wednesday for operating massage establishments without a valid licence.

Tan Sian See, who pleaded guilty to seven counts, did not pay the fines and will serve a default sentence of 14 weeks in jail.

The massage parlours were located at HDB heartlands in Ang Mo Kio, Woodlands, Boon Lay Drive, Bukit Merahand Jurong East.

Seventeen other similar charges were taken into consideration.
