Fri, May 30, 2008
The Straits Times

A 66-YEAR-OLD woman was the victim of a snatch thief on Thursday morning.

She was returning home and was coming out of the lift in Block 297 Yishun Street at 9.30 am, when a man came from behind and grabbed her purse containing $50, before fleeing down the stairs on the 11th storey.

He was described to be a Chinese man in his 40s, 1.75m in height, plump, of a tanned complexion, and with very short hair.

He was wearing a blue round neck T-shirt and dark pants, and the victim recalls that he had 'big round eyes'.

Anyone with information may contact the Police at 1800-255-0000.
