Man charged with burglary and theft

An unemployed man was charged on Tuesday with housebreaking and theft of $11,286.

Stewart Tay Ngat Song, 45, allegedly used a duplicate key to enter the premises of Koufu at Palawan Beach Walk to steal the cash on June 10 last year.

He was released on $8,000 bail. His next court date will be July 1.

If convicted, he faces a jail term of between two and 14 years.
