LAPTOPS and computers worth about $9,000 were stolen from a shop which was broken into early on Wednesday morning.

The shop at Block 122 Bukit Merah Lane 1, was locked up at 10pm on Tuesday night with a chain on the glass door handle, said police.

When the owner arrived at 11am the next day, he found the chain cut and the door latch damaged.

The shop had no alarm or security cameras installed.
