Murder at Paya Lebar

A 26-year-old Chinese national has been arrested in connection with a murder at Paya Lebar Crescent on Saturday.

According to reports, she had allegedly stabbed her brother-in-law and slashed his wife.

The suspect is the wife of opposition party member Tan Lead Shake, nicknamed "Slipper Man" for his choice of footwear when he contested in previous elections, said a TV news report.

The incident took place at a two-storey bungalow, where blood stains could be seen splattered all over the front porch.

The dead man is the younger brother of opposition party member Tan.

Police arrested Tan's wife at Victoria Street later in the afternoon . She will be charged in court on Monday. If found guilty, she faces the death penalty.
