Wife of opposition member arrested

THE wife of opposition politician Tan Lead Shake was arrested on Saturday for the murder of Mr Tan's younger brother.

The New Paper reported on Sunday that China-born Wu Yun Yun, 26, was arrested in Victoria Street at 1pm on Saturday and will be charged on Monday.

Mr Tan Lead Sane, 34, was found lying unconsicous on a bedroom floor at the family's Paya Lebar Crescent bungalow.

He was wearing only a pair of shorts and had stab wounds.

Mr Tan and his wife, who was also injured, were taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital. He was pronounced dead at 7am.

The victim's China-born wife suffered neck injuries and was still in the intensive care unit of the Tan Tock Seng Hospital on Saturday evening.

Neighbours said that the family was often heard quarrelling.
