TAMPIN, MALAYSIA - A 22-year-old Indonesian woman was lured here with promises of a high-paying job. She ended up being the sex slave of a 53-year-old man.

It is believed that the man, a restaurant worker, claimed to be an employment agent and said he could get her a good job.

When she arrived here in early May she was told she would have to live in his home temporarily until the job was finalised.

She said since then, he had repeatedly raped and molested her. She was rescued by police on Sunday after she contacted a friend while the man was out.

Police raided the house about 1am and arrested the man. He has been remanded for five days for investigations. If convicted of rape, the man could be jailed for up to 20 years and whipped.
