>KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA - Geraldine Mariana Wong openly flirted with Ahmad Razman Ahmad Razali to make his then girlfriend, actress Nur Fazura Shariffudin jealous, the magistrate's court was told yesterday. Ahmad, 32, said: "She was normal at first. But when Fazura arrived, she began to sit close to me at the table and constantly held my shoulders."
When she continued to flirt with him for an hour, he asked a friend and learned that Wong was trying to make Fazura, 25, jealous.
Ahmad said he then moved away from her to join another group of friends.
Within minutes, he said, a fight erupted between Wong and Fazura.
"I did not see who started the fight.
"But they were already pulling each other's hair and scratching each other by the time I reached them. I pulled Geraldine away and someone pulled Nur Fazura."
He said the two kept screaming at each other for about a minute, even after they were separated.
"Fazura and I decided to leave. Fazura had one shoe in her hand because it fell off in the fight. But as we were leaving, I saw Geraldine come up to her from behind and pull her hair. That was when Fazura swung her shoe at her," he told the court.
He added Wong's friend then threw the shoe into the swimming pool inside the bar.
Nur Fazura, winner of the Malaysian Film Festival's Most Promising Actress award (2004), is charged with hurting Wong, 31, with a high-heeled shoe at the Luna Bar, Pacific Regency Hotel and Apartments, Jalan Kia Peng, here, about 1.20am on Dec 19, 2004. She faces a maximum one year's jail or fine of RM2,000, or both, if convicted.
Hearing continues before magistrate Aizatul Akmal Maharani on Aug 15.
