Man kills nagging nephew

GOMBAK, MALAYSIA: An uncle lost his cool and stabbed his nephew who pestered him for money to buy drugs.

The nephew, Fong Kam Fian, 27, a drug addict, died at Taman Desa Jaya here at 1.40am yesterdy.

The uncle stabbed Kam Fian three times, twice in the chest and the third time in the stomach.

Kam Fian, a part-time worker, had once helped his contractor uncle.

Gombak police chief Assistant Commissioner Abdul Rahim Abdullah said investigations revealed the uncle had just returned home from work when Kam Fian approached him for money.

"Police believe the nephew had kept pestering his uncle for money. The uncle lost his temper and stabbed Kam Fian in front of his parents."

Police recovered a foldable knife, believed to have been used in the killing, from the scene. The uncle has been remanded for a week to facilitate investigations.

Kam Fian's body was sent to Sungai Buloh Hospital for a post-mortem.

Meanwhile, Kam Fian's father, Fong Kian Seng, when met at the Sungai Buloh Hospital mortuary, said the killing was uncalled for.

He said Kam Fian had been taking drugs and had caused trouble at home on numerous occasions.
