WORRIED with the rising trend of inhalant abuse among the young over the last two year, Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) launched a slew of initiatives to snuff it out.
A formal Case Managment Reporting Framework was set up in June for schools to report all inhalant abuse cases to the anti-narcotics agency.Inhalant abuse will, for the first time, be the main focus of the National Council against Drug Abuse's annual anti-drug campaign.
There were 352 inhalant abusers caught in the first six months, about the same as last year's 347 arrests.But the scourge from the 80s has been spreading among the young in the last two years.
