Charged for girlfriend's death

A MOTORIST was charged in court on Tuesday with causing the death of his girlfriend, drink driving and causing grievous hurt to another.

Chiang Kwok Wai, 31, is alleged to have caused the death of human resource professional Quek Siew Nee, 29, who was sitting behind his Suzuki Swift car after it veered left, mounted a left kerb and hit a tree and fencing.

The accident happened along Bedok North Avenue 4 at about 11 pm on Dec 12.
