Construction worker fined $6,000

A CONSTRUCTION worker, who took up an offer to dispose of renovation debris unlawfully at a housing board bin centre, was fined $6,000.

Peramasamy Sivakumar, 29, an Indian national, pleaded guilty on Thurs to bribing Bangladeshi national Razaul Fazlul Hoque.

A district court heard that Razual, 38, offered Peramasamy the use of the refuse compactor at the bin centre at Block 191 Bishan Street 13, in return for $15 each time.
