Man charged with graft

A MAN was charged on Tuesday with corruptly receiving a total of $1,350 from a vice operator for taking the rap on his behalf.

Arthur Peh Keng Han, 25, is accused of receiving between $500 and $2,500 from Mr Ng Hong Khiang at Japanese Garden Road from February 2005 to January 2006 for assuming criminal liability on the latter's behalf when eight brothel rooms run by Mr Ng were raided for vice activities.

Bail of $15,000 was set.
