MOM inspector charged

A MINISTRY of Manpower employment inspector was charged on Friday with corruption involving a total of $24,500.

Law Boon Seng, 32, allegedly accepted monthly payments of $1,000 and $1,500 from Mr Yeo Eng Kiat, a director of Sheng Yun Services, in return for tipping him of impending raids by the ministry.

He is said to have taken 21 payments from Mr Yeo between March 2005 and December 2006.
