SEREMBAN, Malaysia: An Indonesian was found bludgeoned to death at a rubber plantation in Serting, Bahau, on Thursday afternoon.

State CID chief ACP Mohd Zaki Masroh said a stick, believed to be the weapon used, was found at the scene. It was near the body which was 2.5km from the main road.

The injuries on the victim's forehead was consistent with that inflicted by a blunt object, he said yesterday.

Police were looking for one of the victim's housemates, who has since gone missing.

"The victim and the suspect are countrymen and colleagues who were working at the plantation and stayed together.

"When police went to the hut, no one was there. We believe the suspect has gone into hiding."

Police are trying to contact the owner of the plantation for information on the victim.
