A MAN who initially intended to plead guilty to killing his sister's dog and other offences will go for trial.

Sim Wee Meng, 33, faces six charges - four of drug-taking and one each of having offensive weapons and cruelly ill-treating a three-year-old Maltese.

The unemployed man is said to have thrown his younger sister's pet out of the 22nd-floor open living room window at Fernvale Road in Sengkang on Jan 21 last year.
