Bus driver's defence called
Fri, Oct 03, 2008
The Straits Times

A PRIVATE bus driver elected to give his side of the story for allegedly murdering his step-daughter a year ago in a Marsiling flat.

The 46-year-old is said to have murdered Ong Pan Hui, 15, at a rented flat at Block 24 Marsiling Drive last Oct 20.

He is relying on the defence of diminished responsibility, saying he was severely depressed at the time. Ong told police in his statements that he had been drinking earlier before going to his ex-wife's flat that evening.
