Cabbie assaulted by couple

The Straits Times

A TAXI driver in his late 40s was assaulted by a couple early on Thursday morning.

The couple had flagged down the taxi and told the cabbie to drive to Block 643 Pasir Ris Drive 10. Mid-way, they redirected the driver to go to Block 647.

When he arrived at the location, the woman tried to choke the driver, while the man punched him in the right eye. They fled only after the taxi driver used his elbow to sound the horn continuously.
