The Star, ANN

KUCHING, Malaysia: An AirAsia managers car and front porch were splashed with shellac in the wee hours of yesterday morning.

A bottle was also thrown into the porch of S. Shanmugamnathan's home at Taman Centurion II here.

Shanmugamnathan, the East Malaysia and Brunei regional manager, said that he was awakened by a popping sound just after midnight.

"My (burglar) alarm also buzzed. I went downstairs to check. From the living room window I saw a bottle in the porch but I could not see anyone."

He also discovered that shellac had been hurled on his car and a section of the porch.

Splashes of shellac were also on the front gate.

Shanmugamnathan later lodged a police report. He did not know why his house was targeted.

"I have no enemies," he said.
