Six held in Subang drug raid

KUALA LUMPUR: Two female teenagers and four others were detained in a drug raid in Kampung Melayu, Subang.

Police recovered ganja, syabu, a pistol, 47 rounds of ammunition and RM12,000 ($5,040) during the raid at the suspects' house last week.

Federal Anti-Narcotics director Datuk Zulhasnan Najib Baharudin said police had ambushed the house based on a tip-off.

Three plastic bags containing 10 blocks believed to be ganja weighing 25.53kg were found in a car parked outside the house.

Police also recovered a cigarette box containing dried leaves believed to be ganja in the house.

The two teenageers and three men, in their forties, were arrested at the house while the sixth man was nabbed in Tapah while he was on hs way to Penang.

The pistol and bullets were in the man's car.

Police said the drugs had a street value of more than RM80,000.
