Accused threatens to strangle judge to death

A YOUTH who was charged with homicide threatened to strangle the judge to death at a Magistrate?s Court in Seremban, Negri Sembilan, reported China Press.

The 25-year-old man, identified only as Mohd Zaid, was taken before the magistrate for committing culpable homicide on Guo Shun Li, 68.

He was said to have caused the death of Guo by assaulting him at the Tuanku Ja?afar mental hospital at 8.50pm on Oct 28.

Mohd Zaid was heard singing in the stand after he pleaded not guilty to the charge on Thursday.

Earlier in the detention room at the court, he asked the police if the judge would sit in to hear his case, saying he wanted to strangle the judge to death.

He had also presented a medical document certifying him to be a mental patient.

The court has fixed Jan 8 next year for mention and granted RM5,000 bail.

Mohd Zaid told the court that his father, an engineer, would post bail.
