PETALING JAYA:, MALAYSIA - Barely 48 hours after arriving in his homeland on a visiting lecture trip, a professor was robbed in front of his friend's house in Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Kuala Lumpur.

Professor Rajendran Muthu, 62, had just stepped outside after dinner yesterday when four parang-wielding men rode up to him on motocycles.

"Suddenly, someone used a device to electrocute me," he said.

Prof Rajendran lost his balance and fell. The men then slashed him and robbed him of his valuables.

A police report was later lodged at the Taman Tun Dr Ismail police station after he received treatment at Universiti Hospital.

"My favourite was "The Aftermath for Malaysia Election" - (in my opinion), this was a very well crafted world standard image, it is even suitable for a Time magazine cover!"
