>KUALA LUMPUR: An Indonesian masseuse died from severe internal injuries after jumping from the third floor of a shophouse in Batu Caves Centrepoint while trying to escape from three robbers. Surya Indah, 35, from Medan, suffered head trauma and massive internal bleeding as a result of the fall. She died at 1am yesterday at the Selayang Hospital.

The incident unfolded on Wednesday about 9pm when two men went to a massage parlour on the third floor of a shophouse in Jalan 1/1 Batu Caves Centrepoint.

One of the men was attended to by Surya and another masseuse, Rohana Roslan, while his friend waited at the reception area.

After several minutes, a third man burst into the shop armed with two parang. He provided his accomplice at the reception area with a parang and they stormed into the cubicle where Surya and Rohana were working.

The men ordered the terrified women to hand over their cash and valuables. During this time, the man in the cubicle put on his clothes and began ransacking the shop.

Surya ran to the window and jumped from the third floor but landed badly.

The three robbers left after taking cash, jewellery and mobile phones from the massage parlour.

Rohana, who saw her colleague lying bloodied and motionless, immediately called the police.

It is learnt that the massage parlour was an unlicensed outlet run by Surya.

Police are trying to ascertain the identities of the robbers and appealed to the public to come forward and assist in investigations.
