Lor Hai Huat, 39, who was found with bets totalling almost $11,000 at a flat in Tah Ching Road, was sentenced to three months' jail and fined $30,000 for the offence.

The other person was Lim Gek Hoe, 44, a mother of four, who was jailed for three weeks and fined $25,000 for a similar offence at a flat in another block at Tah Ching Road the same day.
