South Korean scholarships

KUALA LUMPUR: The South Korean government is offering full scholarships to at least six Malaysian students to complete their undergraduate studies in that country.

A statement from its embassy here said that the scholarships were to promote education exchanges and friendship between the two nations.

Students must be below 25 years old, have completed or are scheduled to finish 12 years' of formal education as of March 1 next year and have a good command of English.

The scholarship will cover five years' of studies in Korea, comprising a one-year Korean language course and a four-year undergraduate course.

The selected scholars will be given a roundtrip air fare, monthly allowances of about RM2,500, other allowances as well as full tuition fees.

The last day for application is Feb 5 next year.
