JOHOR BARU: Johor Baru Business Association president Chin Yoke Eng was beaten up during a robbery outside his house in Taman Sentosa.

The robbers also electrocuted him with an electric rod in the 1.30am incident yesterday.

Chin, 55, had arrived home and was about to open the gate

when two men on a motorcycle approached him.

"I suspected something and ran away but they chased me," said Chin.

The men got to him and one of them used the rod and jabbed him on his body while the other beat him with an iron rod.

The robbers left him in a drain after taking his wallet containing some RM1,000, a cellphone and watch.

Chin was rushed to a nearby clinic where he received several stitches on his head and was warded at the Hospital Sultanah Aminah.-The Star/Asia News Network
