PONTIAN, MALAYSIA: Twenty-five people, five of them foreigners, were arrested after testing positive for drugs after a raid on a golf resort.

Ten Chinese nationals and an Indonesian woman were also arrested for violating their social visit passes by working as guest relations officers.

District police chief Superintendent Zahaliman Jamin said a narcotics team raided the karaoke bistro in the golf resort yesterday about 3am.

In another raid on Saturday, police seized RM5,000 worth of equipment from an unlicensed karaoke lounge at Taman Kota Emas.

The owner has received summonses for operating without a licence in the past.
