MUAR, MALAYSIA: Three children were injured when they were stabbed by a motorcyclist at two different spots here.

In the first incident, T. Kuhan, nine, was stabbed in the back while walking home in Taman Muar near Bakariah at 6.50pm yesterday.

About 10 minutes later, the motorcyclist, wearing a colourful full-face helmet, stabbed five-year-old Lee Kang Long and nine-year-old Toh Khar Hui near Jalan Sakeh.

Muar police chief Asst Comm Mohammed Nasir Ramli said the three children were rushed to the Sultanah Fatimah Specialist Hospital for emergency treatment.

He said two of the victims suffered light injuries but Kuhan may need to undergo surgery.

Police believe the motorcyclist is mentally unstable and dangerous as he is armed with a knife.

"We will go all out to track and arrest the attacker. We also want those who spot a motorcyclist wearing a colourful full-face helmet to call us at 06-9526001 or 06-9526222 immediately," he said.
