PETALING JAYA, MALAYSIA: Two children were sodomised and raped in separate cases by teenagers here.

In the first incident on Jan 8, a 3-year-old girl was at her babysitter's house in Bandar Sunway, when a pair of 17-year-old twin boys decided to have some fun.

It was learnt that both boys, who were the babysitter's sons, took advantage of their mother's absence to molest and rape the victim.

The girl later informed her mother that her private part hurt.

After questioning her daughter and ascertaining what had happened, the mother lodged a police report.

Both boys were later arrested and remanded until Jan 15 to facilitate investigations.

The victim was sent to the University Malaya Medical Centre for an examination.

In the second case on Jan 9, a mentally handicapped 5-year-old boy was playing at a playground near his house in Kampung Paya Jaras, Sungai Buloh, when he was approached by a youth.

The 18-year-old youth persuaded the child to follow him to some nearby bushes.

There, he allegedly forced the boy to perform oral sex on him before sodomising the victim.

Sobbing and crying, the child ran home where he told his mother what had happened.

The authorities were alerted and the suspect was arrested on Saturday.

Sources disclosed that the suspect had been remanded until Jan 14, while the victim was sent for a medical examination.

Petaling Jaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Arjunaidi Mohamed confirmed both cases but declined to elaborate.
