GOMBAK, MALAYSIA - A man was killed while his friend was seriously injured with multiple slash wounds following a parang attack at a secluded area in Taman Garing Utama, Rawang, yesterday afternoon.

The deceased, identified only as Agi, died of multiple slash wounds on the head. His friend, only known as Azan, has been warded at the Selayang Hospital.

A passerby found the two men lying on the ground beside a van at 3.15pm. Agi was already dead when found while Azan was barely alive

Police believe the victims were in the van when they were attacked by a group of people with parang as all the windows of the vehicle were smashed in.

Four burnt motorcycles were also found in some bushes some 2km from the van.

Gombak police chief Asst Comm Abdul Rahim Abdullah said police were trying to establish whether the two incidents were related.

He urged anyone with information about both incidents to contact the nearest police station.

"This is great to keep overseas Singaporeans connected to home news and affairs"

"My favourite was "The Aftermath for Malaysia Election" - (in my opinion), this was a very well crafted world standard image, it is even suitable for a Time magazine cover!"
