M'sian jailed for lottery scam

A MALAYSIAN man who was involved in a phone lottery scam was jailed for 18 months on Monday.

Tan Eng Soon, 29, admitted to two charges of allowing his Maybank and United Overseas Bank savings accounts to be used by his accomplice Ah Ping in January last year.

He also admitted to making a false police report that he had lost five bank books and ATM cards on March 24 last year.
