Girl pregnant after being raped by dad
Mon, Apr 27, 2009
The New Straits Times
>JOHOR BARU - A 15-year-old, raped by her father and his friend over three years, is seven months pregnant.

The matter came to light when the victim, who lives near here, went to visit an aunt in Kuala Lumpur last Wednesday.

Johor Baru North police chief Assistant Commissioner Ruslan Hassan said the aunt was shocked to see the change in the girl's appearance and sent her to a clinic for a medical examination.

The doctor confirmed that she was pregnant.

The victim, accompanied by her mother and the aunt, lodged a police report on Saturday, which led to the arrest of her father and his friend in their houses that evening.

Ruslan said the Form Three student, the second of four children, was believed to have been raped by the father since she was 12 years old.

"The father is a lorry driver in his 40s."

He said the second man was a plumber in his 50s who was believed to have raped the girl thrice without her father's knowledge.

Ruslan said the victim knew she was pregnant but did not tell anybody about it.

Both men have been remanded for seven days to facilitate investigations.
