CHENNAI, India (Reuters) - The father of Indian Olympic shooting champion Abhinav Bindra was arrested in Delhi
on Thursday for alleged fraud.

"He was arrested in connection with two cases of fraud and a trial court in Delhi issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against him," Delhi police spokesman Rajan Bhagat told Reuters on Friday after A.S. Bindra had been detained.

"He is now in a hospital after he complained that he was not well. We still don't know when he will be discharged."

Abhinav Bindra claimed the 10m air rifle gold at the Beijing Games last August.
