KUANTAN, MALAYSIA - A man handed over his 16-year-old daughter to police on Monday after learning she had broken into a neighbour's house and stolen cash and clothes worth several hundred ringgit.

The girl, a school dropout, had broken into the neighbour's house in Jalan Beserah, Kampung Chengal Lempong, at 4pm while the latter was away in Kuala Lumpur.

However, she was spotted by another woman living opposite the victim's house.

When the woman told the father what had occurred, he confronted his daughter and she confessed. He then turned her in.
