A SECURITY officer was fined $4,000 on Monday for molesting a student on board an MRT train.

Yon Eng Keong, 37, pleaded guilty to rubbing the 21-year-old's buttocks on the MRT train travelling from Jurong East to Clementi station on May 20 last year.

A court heard that the woman boarded the train at Lakeside and stood near the door as it was crowded.
