NILAI, MALAYSIA - A teacher lodged a police report claiming her Indonesian maid took off with RM3,000 (S$1233.9) worth of jewellery from her house in Desa Melati, Bandar Baru Nilai, on Monday night.

The woman, a religious teacher, said she realised that her maid was not in the room at about 9pm and found her 31-year-old maid missing along with her jewellery.

"When I came home at 6pm, she was still around. However, she must have slipped out while I was busy handling my children. Luckily she ran way while I was still at home."
