A WOMAN has alleged that she was molested by a radiographer at the X-ray room of a government clinic in Johor Baru, reported Sin Chew Daily.
Tang Ee Lu, 25, said that the male radiographer touched her breasts in the incident on Monday.
She also said that certain procedures were not followed such as a third party being present when an X-ray was being taken by a male radiographer on a female patient.
She urged the state Health Department to look into the matter, adding that she felt humiliated and embarrassed over the incident.
Tang, who works as an assistant at a private hospital, said she had gone to the clinic for a check-up after contracting a cold.
After being checked by a doctor, she was told to go for a blood test and an X-ray examination.
Inside the X-ray room, Tang said she was asked to remove her undergarment before putting on a long cloth.
The radiographer then touched her breasts, supposedly to try to fit it to the chest X-ray machine. Tang also alleged that the radiographer pressed her breasts.
Tang said the radiographer refused to apologise when she confronted him the next day at the clinic.
He insisted that he was just doing his job, adding that he needed to "adjust" the breasts so that they could properly fit into the machine for an accurate result.
Tang said the incident should not be put to rest although the clinic authorities had apologised. She subsequently lodged a police report.
