KUANTAN: A 57-year-old spare parts dealer who wanted to humiliate his wife by distributing photostat photographs of them engaged in sex last June was jailed six months by the magistrate's court yesterday.

Abdul Aziz Basri from Lorong Peramu Maju here was also fined RM2,000 or another two months' jail.

Magistrate Irinane Isabelo told Aziz that the punishment was light compared to the severity of the offence, but consideration was given as he was still married to the victim.

Aziz, who pleaded guilty, kept quiet throughout the proceedings.

He was charged with distributing six A4 photostats of photographs of the couple having sex.

The offence was committed at the Courts Mammoth store in Jalan Abdul Aziz here from June 28 to July 7.

He was arrested on July 15 after his 41-year old wife lodged a police report claiming that her husband's act had tarnished her image and reputation.
